The Mission is a durable lightweight rucksack with a fully adjustable back system and multiple front entry points. A best-selling core product at all levels of expeditions.
The Endurance Mission 65 S Rucksack is a Slimjim sized version designed for females or young participants. The hip belt system contracts to 21 inches to cater for the slimmest build.
Multiple front entry points give the Mission rucksack greater versatility. An alternative is the Quest rucksack, which has a single-tube storage compartment. This can only be accessed from the top, which encourages students to load the rucksack properly.

Endurance rucksacks are built with students and expedition leaders in mind. The focus is on simplicity – simple for the students to use, and simple for you back at the kit-store.
KEY ENDURANCE FEATURE
An ill-fitting rucksack can not only take the joy out of an expedition for the student, it can also be damaging to their health. With some DofE students starting as early as Year 9, it is possible to get some very small participants requiring a good rucksack. Endurance rucksacks are the only rucksacks in the market that are designed with smaller children in mind – the waist belt on the Mission 65 S can contract to just 21 inches. We call this Slimjim size.
KEY ENDURANCE FEATURE
Hip belt pockets
Hip belt pockets are accessible whilst the user is wearing the rucksack, so they are ideal for snacks, phones, and other items that need keeping to hand. A strong zip ensures valuables are kept safely, and abundant padding ensures nothing in the pockets causes the hip belt to become uncomfortable.
ENDURANCE KITSTORE FEATURE
Like all Endurance products, the Endurance rucksacks come with an ID window system. This makes identifying and storing kit so much easier back at the kitstore, and can also help the students identify their rucksacks.
“…we have replaced our old Rucksacks with the Endurance Mission 65. Compared to our old bags it’s been a revelation. We’ve been especially impressed with the amount of extra padding to help with those heavy loads on teenage frames and the small size participants the rucksack can now cater for. Also the reinforced areas that should allow it to be used time after time without wear. It’s brought home to us how much more fun a DofE expedition can be with the right kit!“
