I used the 8 man shelter thankfully in mild conditions in Snowdonia. I had four expedition leaders at each corner with their walking poles. This shelter offered enough room for 8 adults. The air vents allow a quick peek through if needed. Also the main stuff sack acts as a vent. The reflective tape on the exterior allows for good visibility with torch light. I didn’t use the cord at the bottom to tighten the base but this would allow a good fit if people sat on the valance. The pole attachment sleeve at the bottom is good however the fabric tie points would I think be fiddly if you had cold hands. Maybe better to have a plastic spring toggle cord. This is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Overall a good shelter and one we will use with DofE leaders meeting groups.
